2/29-3/6 - 1st Sunday of Lent
  • Review materials and begin preparing your heart for the Season of Lent through individual and corporate prayer. Continue discussion and prayer in cell group.
  • Congregation is encouraged to follow the Lent Devotion Calendar.
  • Portion of cell group time will be devoted to the reflection and discussion of the Week�s Lent Theme and Devotional Materials.
  • During time of group prayer, use the �Lent Cross�*.

3/7-3/13 - 2nd Sunday of Lent
    Theme - Simplicity (on Materialistic Lifestyle, Blessing/Comfort Seekers)
  • Clean out the material clutter in your life (House cleaning � give away items that have been collecting dust) � simplifying lifestyle
  • Sacrifice something you enjoy for the sake of Christ (do it individually and/or as a family) ie: internet surfing, television, video/computer games, put aside reading secular magazines/books...in order to mediate on His Words
  • Cell Group � Discuss the actions you have taken to simplify your life. What were your thoughts and feelings through this weeks process

3/14-3/20 - 3rd Sunday of Lent
    Theme - Peacemaking ("Blessed are the peacemakers for the will be called the Sons of God.")
  • Write a letter, call or talk to the person that have hurt you in the past and let them know you have forgiven them.
  • Talk with someone at work, school and/or at church that you don�t get along with and pray for your relationship with him or her.

3/21-3/27 - 4th Sunday of Lent
    Theme - Simplicity (Our speech - often used to manipulate, justify our mistakes, threaten)
  • Speak simply this week.
  • Let your �Yes� be �Yes�, and your �No�, be �No�. Keep your promises
  • Learn to listen to others, rather than wanting to be heard.
  • Pray that we as a congregation be more charitable and thoughtful in our actions � so that, we, too may accomplish deeds of love without expecting anything in return.

3/28-4/3 - 5th Sunday of Lent (Passion Sunday/Passion Week)
    Theme: The Suffering Christian (�What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.�)
  • Participate in the Outreach Ministry (Note: Emily & Cynthia will be planning an event for all to participate and make announcement late Feb/Early March).
  • Take time to pray for a persecuted country (A Handout (to be attached w/ this calendar ) on the persecuted countries and how we can pray for them � I�ll contact Margaret for some suggestions).
  • Cell Group � take a moment to reflect and pray for these countries with your group and encourage participate of EC Outreach Ministry.

4/4-4/10 - Palm Sunday/Holy Week
    Theme: The Suffering Servant/Man of Sorrow (see Jesus through the lens of those closely associated with Him�
  • 4/8 (Maundy Thursday) � Attend Seder Meal at 7:00pm in the Chapel (Pre-paid registration required)
  • 4/9 (Good Friday) � Time to reflect in prayer to place our needs, our failures, our hopes, our very lives in God�s hands, again. Time to abandon yourself in Jesus� death to recognize again who God is and allow His transforming grace to work in us once more. It is then, we will come to worship Him on Easter Sunday, with a fresh victory and hope.

4/11 - Easter Sunday
    Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Alleluia!
  • Attend Sunrise Service � Celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord!
  • Gather together with family, friends and at least 2 people who you don�t know very well in the church family to share a fellowship time over lunch or dinner at your home.
